Non-Comm Day 2
An interesting part of the day was World Cafe host, David Dye’s interview with John Mayer. Yup. John Mayer was in the house. They spoke a lot about his new album Born and Raised but his inability to tour it due to vocal issues. He spoke a lot about his writing style and where his lyrics come from, including his parents divorce and finding his own home. Born and Raised is all about growing up and not being discouraged about the past or future. “I get up quickly even after getting hit with an anvil.” The most interesting part of the discussion although was John requesting a “5-minute song break” and walked off the interview because he was “feeling something and just had to go with it.” Lucky enough though, he returned.
